Citation CJ1+

A compact Citation for a personal travel brief.

The Citation CJ1+ develops the small CitationJet formula with Collins Pro Line 21 avionics and FADEC-controlled Williams FJ44-1AP engines. It retains an intimate passenger cabin, suited to a small-party regional brief. The plus version is distinct from the earlier CJ1, even though their interior proportions are closely related.

An intimate interior

The reference specification lists up to six passengers in a cabin approximately 3.35 metres long, 1.45 metres high and 1.47 metres wide. A group using the principal club seats will experience the cabin differently from a full-capacity party. Ask where any additional passengers would sit before comparing quotations.

Plan around the sector

Cessna’s specification gives an NBAA IFR range of 1,300 nautical miles with full fuel, maximum takeoff weight and a 100-nautical-mile alternate. Maximum cruise is quoted separately at 389 knots. These conditions help make comparisons meaningful; they do not imply that every seating position and the baggage compartments can be filled simultaneously.

Keep the essentials explicit

Confirm the lavatory arrangement, refreshments and cabin storage in the aircraft proposal. Connectivity and power outlets depend on installation and should not be assumed. For a smaller cabin, a well-planned packing list can improve comfort considerably, especially if the group needs to carry larger cases or equipment for the destination.
